Kunjaru is a Small Village in Kurkaal Grama. The place is known for a sacred Durgadevi Temple. The high hills, abodes of Shree Durga and Lord Parashurama, look like "Kunjara" (Elephant) for which the place is known as "Kunjaragiri" or "Kunjarugiri".
